What is the RSA EDT Logbook?

The EDT logbook is an important document, which you must keep safe and take along to each driving lesson, your ADI must sign off on your lessons, by stamping the relevant sections for each individual lesson, in the certificate pages, your driving instructor can only record their own lessons and may not under any circumstances record training that they did not provide (i.e another driving school).

Your EDT logbook is a vital record of your driver training and progress and you may not sit the Irish practical driving test without it being completed and uploaded to the RSA Website via your driving instructor, Aim2Drive Galway will guarantee that we will sign off and stamp your logbook for every EDT driving lesson provided by us, and will upload and conform with all procedures set down by the Road Safety Authority.

EDT – Practice/Road Safety:

Learner/Sponsor Please Note: The EDT Program is designed to teach a Learner the core required skills for driving a motorised vehicle. Where lessons implement required skills, practice makes perfect! Please ensure that when practicing with a Sponsor, the vehicle holds the required Insurance that covers you as a Learner driver and it also has a valid Tax and NCT Certificate (if required).

A Learner Driver must always be accompanied by a Sponsor or ADI whilst behind the wheel. Aim2Drive want to ensure that safe and lawful practices are always carried out for the Health and Safety of both the Learner and general Public. Safe driving is sound driving!
